To celebrate everything good that the main man does for your family, join us for our Father’s Day – Boats, BBQ and Beers event on Trannish Island!
Father’s Day Event Details:
📍 Trannish Island. Set sail from Share Discovery Village.
⏰ 2.00pm – 5.30pm
📅 Sunday 21st June
This new Father’s Day event for 2020 takes place on Trannish Island, a secluded island on Upper Lough Erne upon which SHARE own a campsite and Bothy.
We will set sail from Share Discovery Village in canoes to access the island, which is a peaceful getaway from the mainladn and brimming full of beautiful nature.
To get out to the island, everyone will hop in canoes (canoes can be rafted for stability) and paddle out to where the Father’s Day event will be happening.
Share Discovery Village staff will be out on the island preparing a mouth-watering BBQ for everyone shortly after they arrive. There is plenty of seating and picnic tables on the campsite for everyone to sit back, relax and enjoy their food and a beer!
There will also be a variety of fun activities for the kids to take part in such as a Scavenger Hunt and arts activities in the Bothy should it rain.
Instructors will be with your family or group for the journey to the island so there’s no need to worry about being a novice to canoeing. This is a fun and safe activity and a wonderful way to explore the Fermanagh Lakelands.
Timing of Event:
➡️Arrival: 2.00pm at SHARE reception.
➡️Take off paddling: 2.30pm (It takes roughly 1-hour to paddle to island.)
